What's going on?
As many of you know, Russia has embarked on a full-scale military invasion campaign against Ukraine with the intent of overthrowing the government and seizing control of the country. An unprovoked invasion of a sovereign European country is an extremely serious violation of international law. Right now, the people of Ukraine are facing an unprecedented attack on their country, freedoms, and families.
Russian occupation forces are destroying Ukrainian cities and villages with full scale-attacks including cluster bombs -- which are illegal to use in warfare in almost every country in the world -- untargeted missile strikes, and armoured vehicle assaults. A 60km line of Russian armoured vehicles is only hours away from Kyiv. While the Ukrainian forces are fighting valiantly, they are left to their own devices as the rest of the world is reluctant to join in the fight against Putin.
Innocent casualties, people who only want peace and an end to this unmitigated invasion, are piling up as Russia does not discern where its missiles are landing. Women and children are hiding in underground metro stations and bomb shelters while supplies and access to them are getting scarce.
The situation in Ukraine is dire and urgent, which is why we must commit to helping Ukrainian non-profits and charities conduct relief efforts. One of the most effective ways to help Ukraine and its citizens is donating to Ukrainian relief and humanitarian efforts.
How can I help?
To help with these efforts, we are hosting a fundraiser to provide warfare humanitarian support (funding for food, blankets, water, medical supplies, etc.) for the Ukrainian people. 100% of the proceeds of your contributions will go to those in need in an effort to ensure some comfort and safety for them.
By participating in our fundraiser, and sending us your proof of donation, you are automatically entered in a shared pool of supporters. As an extra incentive, we will be accepting gifts from the community to gift to the people who have donated.
Whatever your contribution may be, we appreciate and welcome every type of support we can get. We currently offer two main ways to support the cause, either by donating money to a Ukrainian non-profit of your choice, or by donating your mech items (keyboards, keyboard accessories, keycap sets) to us. These items will then be raffled among the shared pool of supporters.
